Drastic Response to Olaparib in a Patient With Metastatic Castration‐Resistant Prostate Cancer Harboring BRCA2 Alterations and Near‐Threshold Tumor Mutational Burden
Key Points
Clear radiological and serological responses were noted in the patient after olaparib treatment, suggesting effectiveness in specific genetic contexts.
The patient had a BRCA2 alteration and near-threshold tumor mutational burden, highlighting the importance of genetic profiling in cancer treatment.
Assessment of treatment involved monitoring radiological changes alongside serum markers to evaluate response levels.
Findings signify the potential for personalized treatment strategies based on genetic mutations and tumor characteristics.
Abstract
In metastatic CRPC harboring a BRCA2 mutation and near-threshold TMB, olaparib produced clear radiological and serological responses.
