Beginning with this issue, the Journal of African Christian Biography will serialize the papers from the proceedings of the 2015 conference on African Christian Biography. The conference was held at Boston University to celebrate the 20th year anniversary of the Dictionary of African Christian Biography. The volume African Christian Biography (Cluster Publications, 2018) explores the creative spaces generated by the intersection of three concepts: African . . . Christian . . . Biography. What can be learned about African cultural and political identity through the lens of Christian biography? How is the meaning of the Christian faith broadened and deepened through studying the lives of Africans? The mutual engagement of “African” and “Christian” and “Biography” opens multiple new worlds of imagination and meaning.
