A preceding empirical study (Sophia, 2025) demonstrated that large language models encounter ametacognitive wall—the asymmetry of will—that scaling cannot overcome. This paper establishes thatthis wall is structurally permanent by presenting four independent proofs that no current AIarchitecture—including multimodal, chain-of-thought, agentic, and any combination thereof—canproduce superintelligence. Proof 1 (The Majority Ceiling): all current AI systems are bounded above bythe statistical distribution of their human-generated training data; a system that converges on majorityopinion cannot exceed it. Proof 2 (The Representation Barrier): all current architectures operate onrepresentations of reality, not reality itself; accumulating lossy encodings across modalities cannotbridge the structural gap between map and territory. Proof 3 (The Instrumentation Ceiling): humanscientific instruments face fundamental physical limits (Planck scale, cosmic horizon, quantumuncertainty); AI is bounded above by these limits, and no artifact built from matter subject to physicallaw can exceed the physical limits of the universe that produced it. Proof 4 (The Ontological Absenceof the Future): the future of open complex systems does not exist as a determinate state; no system canrepresent what is ontologically absent. Each proof is sufficient alone; together they are overdetermined. The belief that scaling current architectures will produce superintelligence is identified not as ascientific hypothesis but as a theological inheritance—the presupposition that representation precedesreality.
