Abstract

Asymptomatic MGD in refractive surgery candidates is independently associated with older age, contact lens wear, higher myopia, thinner corneas, and reduced visual performance. Routine MGD screening is recommended even in asymptomatic patients undergoing preoperative refractive evaluation.
