Aortic valve neocuspidization - the Ozaki procedure - is a well-described method favouring the use of autologous pericardial tissue. To obtain a sufficient amount of pericardium, a complete sternotomy is necessary. We present a novel technique of harvesting the pericardium using the da Vinci Xi robot, which allows the aortic valve neocuspidization to be performed through partial sternotomy.
