This is the keynote talk of the "Basic Services" Session at the DAPHNE Annual Meeting 2026. Martin Reinhardt gave a 30 min overview talk about the concept of basic services and the role of Base4NFDI in the context of the last year. Also, results from a previous workshop with DAPHNE was discussed. The reception was in general very good.
