“Pentabasis” as the Fundamental Pillar of the National Ideology of Russia: The Statutory Dimension

Purpose. To show the genesis of approaches from the denial of any ideology to the initiation of the task of developing a national ideology as the basis of Russia`s political, cultural and humanitarian sovereignty. Methodology: general theoretical method of formal logic, historical, comparative legal method. Conclusions. Differences in the system of civilizational values today have a great impact on the modern world order. The modern development of society and the state has shown that the construction and functioning of ideology is the key to the stability of society. The ideology of the state requires modernization taking into account historical realities and is a necessary factor in the fight against socio-cultural threats to national security. One of the main tasks of the Russian Constitution is to protect interests and values both now and in the future. Scientific and practical significance.
