Ethiopian Educational Policy Reforms and Implementation Challenges,

This study examines educational policy reforms in Ethiopia from to , focusing on their implementation challenges. The study employs a comparative analysis of educational policies, stakeholder interviews, and secondary data sources to evaluate the effectiveness and challenges faced by these reforms. A notable finding is that while there was significant emphasis on improving teacher training programmes, implementing them in rural areas proved difficult due to inadequate funding and infrastructure. Despite initial successes, persistent implementation issues hindered the full realization of policy goals, particularly in remote regions where resources were scarce. To enhance future educational reforms, policymakers should prioritise equitable resource distribution and strengthen support systems for rural education initiatives.
