Historical foundations of governance in Ethiopian society have played a significant role in shaping contemporary challenges. This study employed participatory action research to engage with local communities, government officials, and scholars in Ethiopia. Themes emerged around feudal legacies influencing modern political structures and cultural norms impacting policy effectiveness. The historical context of governance is crucial for understanding current challenges and developing effective solutions. Policy recommendations should incorporate historical contextualization to address contemporary governance issues effectively.
