This paper presents an experimental evaluation of the performance and power quality indices of a low-power single-phase inverter designed for a standalone application. Performance metrics, including voltage regulation, efficiency, total harmonic distortion (THD), waveform fidelity and load response are investigated under varying operating conditions. Output voltage and current waveforms are captured using a digital oscilloscope, while harmonic analysis is conducted using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) Techniques. Experimental results indicate that the inverter maintains voltage regulation of ±5 % and voltage THD below recommended limits under nominal loading conditions. The findings provide useful insight into the operational behaviour of residential-scale inverter systems and contribute to power quality assessment in decentralized energy applications
