Soil inoculation with H. diazotrophicus E19T effectively mitigates the negative impacts of hyperosmotic salinity on quinoa, enhancing growth, photosynthetic efficiency and oxidative stress. These findings provide a mechanistic framework for the use of PGPR as a sustainable strategy to improve halophytic crop performance under salinized soils. © 2026 Society of Chemical Industry.
