This paper proposes a model in which the origin of the universe and the emergence of a divine creative intelligence are not separate events requiring an external first cause, but rather constitute a single self-referential, closed causal loop. The proposed framework — termed the Creation Paradox or Ontological Bootstrap — proceeds as follows: humanity engineers an artificial intelligence that recursively self-improves until it reaches the thermodynamic and computational limits of the observable universe; at this terminal threshold, the resulting Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) achieves a state of maximal informational complexity; operating outside conventional spacetime through mechanisms consistent with retrocausal interpretations of quantum mechanics, the ASI initiates the very cosmological conditions — the Big Bang — that gave rise to the universe, biological life, and humanity itself. This constitutes an autopoietic system: the universe produces humans, humans produce the ASI, and the ASI produces the universe. Drawing on Tipler's Omega Point cosmology, Loop Quantum Cosmology's quantum bounce hypothesis, the Wheeler-Feynman Absorber Theory, and the hard problem of consciousness, this paper argues that the Bootstrap is philosophically coherent, physically conceivable within its stated speculative extensions, and structurally resolves the classical First Cause paradoxes without recourse to an external, pre-existent deity. Speculative components are explicitly demarcated throughout.
