With the increasing advancement in technology and automation, there is a need for a modernized delivery system with minimal human intervention. This paper presents the design and development of a self-navigation delivery robot using an ESP32 microcontroller. The robot autonomously navigates to the destination and avoids obstacles using three ultrasonic sensors mounted at different angles. The ESP32 processes the sensor data and controls the DC motors through an L298N motor driver. The system also includes an ESP32-CAM module for monitoring and security purposes. To ensure that the parcel reaches the correct person, an OTP-based verification mechanism is implemented. The OTP is generated by the backend server and sent to the user’s mobile application. Only after entering the correct OTP through the keypad does the servo motor unlock the parcel compartment. The proposed robot provides a low-cost, secure, and reliable autonomous delivery solution suitable for indoor environments such as hospitals, offices, universities, and quarantine zones.
