SUPERIORITY POTENCY OF CHRIST'S ἐΦΆΠΑΞ SACRIFICE IN HEBREWS 9-10 TO IMBORIVUNGU CULT

The superiority of the ἐφάπαξ sacrifice of Christ in Hebrews 9-10 abhors the continuity of human bloodshed and annuls any foreseeable sacrifices. Christ’s sacrifice is a single event that can be regarded as the prohibition of any other analogous happening; once and for all, and never again. The practice of the imborivungu cult, which accompanies human bloodshed, is an abomination associated with the dark side of Tiv culture. This is capable of leading people to apostasy, which the author of the Hebrews warns against.
