Educational Opportunities of the Hungarian Diaspora in Austria in the Context of Multilingualism. In this study, I present the linguistic legal situation and educational opportunities of the Hungarian ethnic group living in Austria (especially the Hungarian diaspora). I also discuss the ethnolinguistic vitality of the Hungarian allochthonous ethnic group in Austria. I consider it particularly important to present the situation of the ethnic group in a complex way in order to draw critical conclusions about the situation and possibilities of Hungarian education. In my study, I will also discuss the Austrian (non-dominant) version of Hungarian as a pluricentric language, as well as the latest discourses of Austrian minority policy and Hungarian diaspora policy.In many respects, I believe that knowledge of the situation of the Hungarian diaspora in Austria, the educational problems and achievements of this ethnic group, can serve as a model for other Hungarian allochthonous groups in Western Europe and the world.
