This paper addresses a fundamental question: Why does thought not begin naturally? To answer this, it introduces the concept of Structural Pressure as a core condition for activating the Thought Operating System (TOS). Structural Pressure is defined as an inner cognitive tension that arises from misalignments between one’s Fundamental Question (FQ) and reality, the saturation of unstructured meanings, and the accumulation of unresolved structural shards. When this pressure reaches a critical threshold, it triggers Mindflight Cognition, prompting a cognitive leap. The paper presents a structural model for this pressure, including its typology, component factors, and internal mapping within the OS. It further proposes methods for deliberately designing such pressure in educational and creative contexts.
