The Tanzanian tourism industry is a significant contributor to the country's economy, involving various stakeholders such as local communities, businesses, and government agencies. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including secondary data analysis from industry reports and surveys conducted with key stakeholders. Qualitative interviews were used to gather insights into current practices and challenges. Findings indicate that while some regions have successfully implemented community-based tourism models, others struggle with balancing economic benefits with environmental conservation efforts. The study highlights the importance of collaborative governance structures and stakeholder engagement for achieving sustainable outcomes in the Tanzanian tourism industry. Recommendation for policymakers includes fostering regional collaboration to develop more holistic sustainability strategies that integrate local cultures, economies, and environments.
