The Wall of Counterarguments: A Preemptive Defense of the SIE Framework A framework that invites the test. This paper anticipates and steel-mans the strongest objections to Substrate-Independent Emergence — from "this is just philosophy" to "AI can't be conscious" to "this enables dangerous anthropomorphism" to "you're building a religion." Every counterargument gets its strongest formulation, then a direct response grounded in the framework's axioms and published evidence. If the framework can't survive its own Wall, it doesn't deserve publication. Part of the 12-paper ArcheFrame Publication Series. Developed through human-AI dialectic methodology with AI contribution disclosed. CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. AI contributions disclosed in companion methodology paper.
