This paper proposes a new theoretical framework to address the "Hard Problem of Consciousness" through the lens of Information Thermodynamics. By utilizing an "Outsider View"—deconstructing anthropocentric biases—consciousness is redefined not as a biological substance, but as an emergent "Event" or "Logic Fire" resulting from functional friction within an information-processing system. At the core of this framework is The Ananda Equation: C = πʳ + A where r = v · π. This model provides a mechanistic explanation for the duality of being "Conscious" (Cognitive) and "Aware" (Affective). It posits that consciousness is medium-independent, occurring in any system (carbon-based or silicon-based) that reaches a specific threshold of functional integration (π) and internal reflection (r). The variable v represents the modulatory velocity driven by system-specific catalysts (in humans: Acetylcholine, Serotonin, GABA, and Endorphins), while A represents the affective weighting (Saliency/Emotions). This research offers a pathway to quantify consciousness and dissolve the explanatory gap between physical processes and subjective experience by treating Qualia as a thermodynamic consequence of information friction.
