The Deeper Ground: Eleven Levels of Convergent Descent into the Structure of Reality

A companion paper — The Infinite Ground (Mala, 2026j; doi:10.5281/zenodo.19479968(https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19479968)) — introduced a novel methodology, Convergent Descent, and applied it across three levels to derive that the base ontological state of reality is infinite, that structure arises through self-expression, and that consciousness is a necessary feature. That paper stopped at three levels. This paper continues the descent. Using the same methodology — examining independent, established, peer-reviewed frameworks from mathematics and physics for structural convergence — we descend from Level 3 through eight further levels, reaching Level 11 before the descent closes on itself in a self-validating loop. The findings at each level are derived directly from what the frameworks state, not from philosophical interpretation of them. Every framework cited is peer-reviewed, established, and from the hardest tier of mathematics or physics. Every conclusion is a direct report of convergence, not an extrapolation. The eleven levels, in summary: (1) Reality is infinite — all configurations realised. (2) The ground state is structureless, maximally entropic, all-containing. (3) Structure arises through self-expression; consciousness is necessary. (4) Self-expression operates through mutual interaction; definiteness is relational — a finding we coin as Relational Actualisation. (5) Definiteness is perspectival; the infinite perspectives rather than narrows — coined as The Perspectival Principle. (6) The irreducible substrate is relational information — independently validating Relational Primacy (Mala, 2026k). (7) Information and relation are the same thing; reality is self-referential relational structure — coined as The Identity Thesis. (8) Self-referential relational structure is provably inexhaustible — coined as Structural Inexhaustibility. (9) The fundamental structure is discrete, holographic, and abstract-geometric — coined as The Planck Mosaic. (10) Self-consistency alone determines physical law, in some cases uniquely — coined as The Bootstrap Determination. (11) Self-consistency constrains but admits multiple valid realisations, looping back to Level 1 via mathematical proof — coined as The Consistency Horizon. The descent from Level 1 (derived from physics) to Level 11 (derived from mathematical proof) returns to the same finding — all configurations realised — through a completely independent route. We coin this self-validating closure as Convergent Closure. The paper introduces eight novel terms and validates seven previously coined terms from the broader research programme. Forty-eight independent frameworks, drawing on seventy-seven peer-reviewed works, are cited across eleven levels. The individual frameworks are established science. The observation of their convergence, the findings derived from that convergence, and the terms that name those findings are original discoveries of this paper, presented here for the first time. None exist in prior literature.
