The superiority of the ἐφάπαξ sacrifice of Christ in Hebrews 9-10 abhors the continuity of human bloodshed and annuls any foreseeable sacrifices. Christ’s sacrifice is a single event that can be regarded as the prohibition of any other analogous happening; once and for all, and never again. The practice of the imborivungu cult, which accompanies human bloodshed, is an abomination associated with the dark side of Tiv culture. This is capable of leading people to apostasy, which the author of the Hebrews warns against. The unsettling aspect of human sacrifice is not just a ritual act intended to pacify the gods, revitalize destiny, and promote fertility, or bring luck and prosperity to those offering the sacrifice. All human sacrifice formulas are stimulated by egocentricities at the cost of ill-treating others and are therefore repugnant to Jesus’s selfless human sacrifice. This study reveals the final human sacrifice in Christ’s death.
