The article focuses on key issues of upbringing in modern society, discussed at the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Path to the Collective: Seeking Answers to Current Challenges in Youth Education," held on April 4–5, 2025, at Kostroma State University. The conference was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of A.N. Lutoshkin's birth and the 75th anniversary of A.G. Kirpichnik's birth. Organized with the support of the Kostroma Regional Administration, the "Movement of the First," and the Russian Children and Youth Center, the event brought together over 300 experts from various regions of Russia, including scholars, educators, psychologists, and government representatives. The discussion centered on the transformation of educational practices in the face of contemporary challenges. Through three panel discussions, nine roundtables, and six master classes, participants explored three key aspects: Whom to educate? Who educates? How to educate? Special attention was given to the role of collectives and teamwork in the socialization of children and youth, as well as the search for new formats of collaborative activities that meet the needs of the younger generation. The article presents recommendations for government bodies, the academic community, and educational institutions aimed at developing flexible models of collective education based on voluntariness, conscious engagement, and a balance of individual and group approaches.
