The article presents a comprehensive study of the theoretical, methodological, and practical foundations of strategic management for agricultural enterprises under emerging challenges, including war, climate change, digitalization, and external market instability. The relevance of developing flexible and adaptive strategic models for Ukraine’s agricultural sector-operating under high-risk and multifactorial external pressures is substantiated. Based on the analysis of scholarly sources, it is revealed that digital transformation, innovation, sustainable development, and strategic partnerships are becoming key drivers of long-term agricultural efficiency. The author proposes a scientific definition of strategic management in the agricultural sector, which includes a multifaceted analysis of internal and external factors, risk management, flexible planning, and the consideration of environmental specificity. A conceptual model of strategic management for agricultural enterprises is presented, structured according to the classical stages of strategic management: strategic analysis, formulation of mission and goals, strategy development, implementation, monitoring, and control. Particular attention is paid to the adaptation of these stages to the realities of agricultural production, taking into account digital innovations, environmental strategies, market competition, demographic challenges, and security risks. A set of practical recommendations is proposed for implementing the developed model, including developing strategic thinking among managers; adopting analytical IT tools; integrating strategy into corporate culture; scenario planning; fostering inter-organizational cooperation; and using a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) tailored to the agricultural context. The article is of significant value both for the theoretical understanding of contemporary strategic management trends in the agro-sector and for developing practical mechanisms to enhance the resilience and competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural enterprises in an unstable environment.
