Abstract Irreversible dilatation of airways, known as bronchiectasis is a significant global health issue with a wide range of clinical presentations and an extensive list of etiologies. The use of radiology to assess the severity of bronchiectasis has evolved from radiographs to computed tomography. Replacing subjective assessment by objective scoring systems has gained popularity in the context of unifying the understanding and management of the disease. This review aims to elucidate the bronchiectasis radiologically indexed computed tomography score with an attempt to untangle the labyrinthine radiological appearances and assist management.
