Zr 0.05 Ti 0.95 O 2 -functionalized porous SiO 2 /glass fiber composite filter-papers for efficient PM 2.5 capture and photocatalytic toluene degradation
Key Points
The study aims to develop a filter paper that efficiently removes PM2.5 and VOCs from indoor air.
Created a composite filter paper using Zr0.05Ti0.95O2 and porous SiO2.
Evaluated the filter's efficiency in capturing PM2.5 and degrading toluene.
Conducted tests to measure the photocatalytic activity of the composite material.
The filter paper significantly captured PM2.5 particles.
Demonstrated effective photocatalytic degradation of toluene.
Indicated potential for improved indoor air quality with this new material.
Abstract
Fine particulate matter (PM 2.5 ) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are major indoor air pollutants, calling for purification materials that can simultaneously filter PM 2.5 and remove VOCs.
