Land reform in East Africa has been a topic of interest for scholars examining socio-economic dynamics and policy implementation. The research employs qualitative methods including in-depth interviews with stakeholders, document analysis, and focus group discussions to understand perceptions and experiences related to land reform policies. Interviews revealed that approximately 40% of farmers reported improvements in their livelihoods following the implementation of land reforms, though challenges such as bureaucratic delays persisted. Land reform has had mixed effects on socio-economic conditions in East Africa, with notable benefits for some farmers but significant hurdles still to overcome. Policy makers should prioritise streamlining administrative processes and enhancing communication channels to facilitate smoother implementation of land reforms.
