Youth Engagement in Psychological Research and Practice within Rwanda: Navigating Cultural Contexts and Innovations

Youth engagement in psychological research and practice is increasingly recognised as crucial for addressing the unique developmental needs of adolescents in Africa. A qualitative study involving interviews with key stakeholders including psychologists, educators, and young people. The integration of youth voices into psychological research and practice is essential for fostering sustainable mental health support systems in Rwanda. Further research should prioritise developing culturally sensitive training programmes for psychologists working with young people.
