The author considered the problem of advanced training of specialists in radiology and expanding their competencies related to diagnostic results. The development of medical equipment, new functions, examinations quality assurance require technicians and radiologists to understand the technical and physical basics of the methods. However, the relevance of specific sections depends on the clinic's profile. This paper examines a range of relevant issues, including methodology, hardware, examination safety, regulatory documents, and results evaluation criteria. To ensure effective training, a preferred format for presenting materials is established, taking into account the specifics of staff members' daily responsibilities, and the balance between theoretical and practical sections is determined. The subject of this study is the professional interests of specialists in magnetic resonance imaging, determined by their daily tasks and the need for prompt decision-making in non-standard situations. The qualitative study was conducted using a survey with closed-ended questions. The target audience consisted of various qualifications specialists (radiologists, radiographers, administrative staff, engineers). The professional knowledge estimation consisted of two stages of testing, all questions were closed-ended. Between tests, respondents were offered theoretical material to study. It was found that, regardless of respondents' education and qualifications, the topical problem was quality assurance. The most popular training section is practical examples. Visual presentation with interactive elements was identified as the preferred format for presenting the materials. Half of the respondents were interested in the technical principles of the method used, but when the question was reworded to specify a specific subsystem and its impact on the quality of the results, the proportion of positive responses increased significantly. Safety and equipment operating limitations were of least interest. Estimation of professional competencies through testing focused on research quality revealed difficulty in identifying hardware errors. Repeat testing after studying the theoretical material several days after the initial assessment, showed improved results.
