Electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction on LaNiO 3 with tunable oxygen content under dual magnetic and light fields
Key Points
The aim is to investigate the enhanced activity of LaNiO3 thin films in the oxygen evolution reaction under dual fields.
Utilized LaNiO3 thin films for electrocatalytic tests
Applied dual magnetic and light fields during experiments
Measured oxygen evolution reaction performance
Increased OER activity observed under dual fields
Generation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs identified as a key mechanism
Formation of triplet-state oxygen species contributed to enhanced performance
Abstract
The enhanced OER activity of LNO thin films under dual magnetic and light fields primarily stems from the generation of photogenerated electron–hole pairs and the formation of triplet-state oxygen species.
