This preprint proposes Flow-Resilience as a conceptual framework for analyzing how distributed ledgers and consensus systems reconverge after “cut events” such as failures, attacks, censorship, and network partitions. Grounded in the classical idiom 抽刀斷水水更流 (“cut water with a sword; it still flows”), the paper provides a Proverb-to-Protocol mapping template and a Flow→Pinch→Split→Reflow stage model, and compares reconvergence pathways across Nakamoto-style consensus, Paxos-family consensus, and BFT replication—without disclosing implementation-sensitive details.
