Objective: This study reports a case of persistent functional dyspepsia after complete healing of a gastric ulcer treated with integrative Korean medicine. Methods: During hospitalization, the patient received herbal decoctions including Banhasasim-tang and Hyangsa-Pyeongwi-san, acupuncture, and Chuna therapy. Treatment outcomes were assessed using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), European Quality of Life 5 Dimensions (EQ-5D), Functional Dyspepsia–related Quality of Life (FD-QOL), Nepean Dyspepsia Index-Korean version (NDI-K), and Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale (GSRS).Results: After 41 days of treatment, upper abdominal discomfort and early satiety were relieved, food intake and sleep improved, and the NRS score decreased from 7 to 5. EQ-5D, FD-QOL, NDI-K, and GSRS scores also improved without adverse effects. Conclusion: This case suggests that complex Korean medicine treatment may be effective for functional dyspepsia persisting after healed gastric ulcer.
