This study investigated the dynamic response of simply supported spherical laminated composite plates with square vertices, composed of graphite/epoxy material, under sudden loading. The research examined the influence of stacking sequence, thickness variation, and type of loading using the finite element method (FEM). The results demonstrated that stacking sequence significantly affects plate deformation, where the anti‐symmetric laminates exhibited higher deformation compared to symmetric laminates. The unidirectional and cross‐ply laminates displayed the least deformation. Furthermore, while the stacking sequence modulates the amplitude’s response, it does not affect the frequency characteristics. Regardless of load type, laminates subjected to pressure or moment loading showed no change in the frequency characteristics. Thickness variation notably influences the amplitude characteristics but not the frequency characteristics, indicating the ability to control the amplitude modulation of the response by controlling these parameters.
