This paper aims to retrace the main biographical milestones of Abū l-Barakāt Hibat Allāh ibn Malkā al-Baghdādī based on available sources, highlighting understudied aspects. It also presents the complete body of his works, identifying their philosophical and scientific dimensions. To our knowledge, there is to date no comprehensive synthesis of the scholarship dedicated to this author. This article fills that gap by offering, for the first time, a critical and structured overview of the entire secondary literature, while advancing an original hypothesis concerning his biography, the absence of known teachers, and his intellectual legacy. In this preliminary version, emphasis is placed on the current state of previous research, critically assessed within a literature review framework, in order to provide a coherent overall picture while laying the groundwork for more in-depth future developments.
