This record establishes authorship and temporal priority for the Taxonomy of Mastery Failure Modes (TMF). The abstract introduces a structured framework for analyzing recurring ways in which apparent mastery fails to generalize or remain robust under change. TMF organizes mastery failures into three layers—causal mechanisms, observable symptoms, and remediation levers—and is intended as a diagnostic, evolving framework compatible with future theoretical, empirical, and normative extensions. This upload contains the abstract only and is released to establish priority. Subsequent publications will provide expanded formalization, examples, and empirical evaluation.
