This paper proposes a dynamic interpretation of recent population-based findings showing that diversity of physical activity is associated with reduced all-cause mortality, independent of total activity volume. Rather than framing activity diversity as a behavioral or lifestyle preference, the paper interprets it as a form of temporal protection that preserves physiological stability over time. Drawing on principles from dynamic systems physiology, the work argues that health is maintained through regulated variability, rhythmic coordination, and recovery capacity rather than fixed optimal levels.
