Renal artery variations are the consequences of variations in embryogenesis of kidneys leading to complex presentations in each variant presenting in the outpatient department. Some of these variations remain unidentified till there incidental identification. Some of these variations include ectopic kidney with its predisposition to pelvic area with malrotation. Each of such variants is managed with patient to patient approach for their presenting symptoms. Most of these variants don’t need any interventions till complexity arises. However, to deal with all such variations, physicians and surgeons need to identify and rectify the problems with individual approach to such particular case. The aim of this review is of particular importance for surgeons, intervention radiologists, nephrologists, and vascular surgeons to identify the diagnostic parameters and manage the variation in position and disorders associated with multiple renal arteries and the connections between the presence of accessory renal arteries along with coexistence of other variants of vascularization.
