This presentation, given at the Rutgers University Libraries (RUL) Faculty Planning Committee meeting on January 29, 2026, is the first of a monthly series of presentations to be given by RUL faculty members on the future of librarianship in various areas of library work. This presentation gives a brief overview of accessibility and accommodations; recent updates to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II, which strengthen accessibility requirements for web and mobile services; work done at RUL in response to ADA Title II changes; resources for learning more about accessibility; and ideas for how RUL Librarians can make web content we create accessible, make web content we manage accessible, and create accessible physical and virtual spaces.
