Within the spatial, cultural and historical entity of the Area along Kneza Miloša in Belgrade stands the Adriatic-Danubian Bank building on the corner of the streets of Kneza Miloša and Kralja Milana. During 2024, works were carried out on the reconstruction, rehabilitation, adaptation and conversion of the Adriatic-Danubian Bank building, which also included the restoration and conservation of highly valuable parts of the original interior. One of the rooms that has been fully preserved with a representative interior is the ceremonial meeting hall, located on the first floor of the former Adriatic-Danubian Bank, today the Palace of Science - Miodrag Kostić Endowment. This paper deals with conservation and restoration work on the ceiling decoration in the ceremonial meeting hall, which consists of a painting on canvas by Jašo Rankl, as well as a plaster decorative frame with bas-reliefs by Lojze Dolinar. The study, conservation and restoration of this large-scale decorative ensemble was all carried out in situ, with maximum respect for the original structural elements and detailed documentation of artistic and craft materials and techniques, contributing to the preservation of the interior of the ceremonial meeting hall of the Adriatic-Danubian Bank, today the Palace of Science - Miodrag Kostić Endowment.
