At the centre of Viron Erol Vert’s work in recent years is the creation of spatial situations that activate and continuously evolve through the presence of visitors. Drawing on psychoanalytic theories, he explores how spaces can balance inner conflicts and enable reconciliation. The presented installations explore the sensory and symbolic power of space to transform individual and collective experiences. These spaces interweave visitors’ emotions, impressions and knowledge into a collective exchange, transforming the environment into a social body shaped by contemplation. Through the interplay of diverse media and cultural aesthetics, the created spaces or environments address contemporary tensions and explore possibilities for healing, harmony and non-hierarchical community. Inspired by ancient cave art, such as the Lascaux paintings, these artistic explorations connect historical precedents with present needs, placing human interaction with the environment at their core. They underline the role of space as a bridge between past, present and future, offering renewal and fostering deeper societal connections.
