This essay argues that Te Velde’s Metaphysics between Experience and Transcendence demonstrates the enduring relevance of Thomistic metaphysics for theology, philosophical reasoning, and understanding finite beings in light of their ultimate cause. Such a metaphysics remains rooted in human experience and mediates between empirical knowledge and divine transcendence through principles such as separatio, resolutio, and analogy.
