The article analyzes the concepts of "informal youth associations", "subculture of minors", "criminal subculture of minors", which are interconnected and come into contact in a certain part. The subculture of minors, acting as part of the national culture with transformed values and rules of behavior for the younger generation, in some cases develops into a youth criminal subculture, which is influenced by informal youth associations of an antisocial orientation. The criminal subculture ignores the generally accepted value orientations of society, in fact, it parasitizes its culture, being its opposite, and in no way a continuation. To date, there is no legislative consolidation of the concept of "criminal subculture", which would most holistically reflect the characteristic features of all specific manifestations of this phenomenon. The author's definition of the concept of "youth criminal subculture" has been developed. In order to improve legal regulation in the field of countering youth criminal subcultures, it is proposed to amend certain regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation in terms of establishing additional mechanisms to counter the involvement of youth in criminal subculture.
