This preprint introduces a conceptual, integrative framework that proposes Psychological Inertia as a system-level account of why psychological patterns persist across cognition, emotion, behavior, motivation, and bodily regulation. It draws on ideas from dynamical systems theory, predictive processing, and embodied neuroscience to clarify why these patterns tend to endure over time. The manuscript is theoretical in nature and does not report original empirical data.
