Editorial Comment Emerging biomedical research in low- and middle-income countries is increasingly focusing on solving critical problems in public health, ergonomics, and forensic sciences. In this issue of the International Journal of Basic, Applied, and Innovative Research, scientists highlight the growing misuse of neurotoxic drugs, persistent flaws in forensic identification systems, and the lack of reliable regional anthropometric databases. These challenges demand multidisciplinary, yet context-sensitive, solutions that are adaptable to the distinct biological, environmental, and infrastructural realities of these regions.
