Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated lockdowns as a preventive measure. A gradual easing of restrictions ensued over time, with the majority resorting to digital modes of physical activity, including youth athlete training. This study aimed to examine the perceptual outcomes of online strength and conditioning (S 2) How would you describe your experience with your S 2) progressive performance; and 3) positive relationships with coaches and peers. These findings highlight the role of needs satisfaction in fostering engagement and motivation within the context of online S&C setting during the pandemic. Since natural hazards and disasters continue to cause disruptions in trainings and classes among the youth today, these findings provide guidance for coaches and trainers in the design and implementation of online programs with the basic psychological needs’ satisfaction as an important consideration.
