Although studies have identified that individuals' safety behavior is critical to construction site safety, little research has considered how organisational mindfulness affects safety behavior. Based on the trait activation theory and self-determination theory, this study constructed a dual-path model and aims to assess two mediating mechanisms, situational awareness and harmonious safety passion, through which organisational mindfulness influence safety behavior, respectively, and the moderating role of leader safety commitment was tested among dual-path model. Data were collected from 398 construction workers from 15 project teams in China. The results showed that organisational mindfulness significantly and positively predicted safety behavior, situational awareness and harmonious safety passion played a parallel mediating role in this relationship. Moreover, leader safety commitment moderated the effect of organisational mindfulness: the higher the leader safety commitment, the stronger the mediating role of situational awareness and harmonious safety passion. Construction managers should improve organisational dynamic emergency handling capabilities, fulfill the safety commitment, and trigger the different psychological incentive paths to enhance safety behavior.
