This paper examines the paradox of democratic sovereignty: while citizens formally hold political power, they often experience collective powerlessness. Through philosophical and psychological analysis, the study argues that democratic weakness arises not only from institutional limitations but from internal division and conditioned political consciousness among citizens. The article explores voting as a moral transfer of authority, the psychological inversion of representation, and the structural effects of polarization. It proposes that genuine democratic strength depends on collective awareness, critical inquiry, and unity grounded in shared foundational principles.
