A BSTRACT Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of 0.5% Bupivacaine and 4% Articaine when administered via inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) in patients undergoing surgical management of mandibular fractures. Material and Method: The sample consisted of 40 participants, who required management of mandibular fractures. Results: Patients receiving Bupivacaine required rescue analgesia significantly later (10.40 h) compared to those receiving Articaine (7.30 h), with a mean difference of 3.10 h ( P < 0.001). This 42% delay in rescue analgesic requirement represents a clinically meaningful improvement in postoperative pain management, potentially reducing overall analgesic consumption and associated side effects while improving patient satisfaction scores.
