Curriculum development for nursing education in medical technical schools serves as a critical foundation for preparing competent nursing professionals who meet the evolving demands of modern healthcare systems. This article examines theoretical perspectives on nursing curriculum design, including competency-based approaches, integration of technology in teaching, and international standards adaptation in the context of Uzbekistan and CIS countries. Drawing on recent research, contemporary frameworks and trends in nursing education are discussed to highlight best practices and emerging challenges. Despite global efforts to standardize nursing curricula, disparities remain in aligning local professional needs with international competencies, particularly in technical education settings. Recommendations are provided for integrative curriculum models that incorporate evidence-based pedagogies, competency frameworks, and continuous evaluation mechanisms to enhance the quality of nursing education. Key findings: Competency-based curriculum models improve alignment with healthcare needs; technological integration supports experiential learning; and international collaboration drives curriculum modernization.
