This document presents General Coordination Dynamics (GCD), a formal ontological and dynamical framework describing how systems maintain viability, adapt, and transform through coordination. The framework treats coordination as a primary relational phenomenon emerging from coupling between systems. Adaptation, optimization, exploration, and transformation are derived processes governed by finite coordination capacity, bounded energy gradients, and temporal asymmetry between present costs and future uncertainty. The formulation establishes definitions, formal relations, governing principles, and core laws intended as a stable foundation for future formalization, modeling, and empirical testing.
