A bstract Introduction: Obesity, defined as excessive fat accumulation resulting from sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy dietary habits, is an increasing global health concern, particularly among young and middle-aged adults. In addition to conventional weight management strategies, interventions such as structured physical activity, caloric restriction, periodic fasting, and dietary supplementation are commonly employed to prevent nutritional deficiencies during obesity management. Aim: This literature review aimed to evaluate existing literature regarding the efficacy of exercise and dietary supplementation in reducing obesity in middle-aged adults. Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted using the search terms obesity , supplementation , diet , and exercise across Google Scholar, PubMed, and obesity-related journals, including studies published between 2014 and 2024. Eleven full-text articles meeting the inclusion criteria were identified for detailed analysis. All included studies involved obese participants and incorporated specific exercise protocols alongside dietary or nutritional supplementation. Results and Discussion: Across the reviewed literature, all intervention groups demonstrated favorable outcomes based on the measures employed. Overall, the findings indicate that a high-protein diet combined with omega fatty acids, together with structured exercise programs, is effective in promoting weight loss among the middle-aged obese population.
